Caleb Followill of Kings Of Leon vomits, drinks a beer, doesn’t return to concert in Dallas

Rocks are hard, water is wet, and dudes in rock bands occasionally drink too much while on stage. So, it’s certainly not a scandal that Caleb Followill of Kings Of Leon slurred his way through an apparently haphazard performance Friday in Dallas, even if some of his best bits of between-song patter were preserved on YouTube (which you can see below). We’d even argue that the world is a better place now that we can enjoy these parting words from Followill: "I'm gonna go backstage and I'm gonna vomit, I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out and play three more songs."

Followill didn’t keep his promise to return—much to the chagrin bassist Jared Followill, who apologized profusely from the stage and on Twitter. Jared Followill’s tweets suggest that there are deeper, darker problems in the band beyond one bad night, stating “there are internal sicknesses and problems” that need to be addressed that are “bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."
