The CW’s new murder mystery In The Dark follows Murphy, a “hard-living, hard-drinking, disaffected twenty-something” blind women who stumbles drunk upon the lifeless body of one of her closest friends. By the time police arrive, however, the body has disappeared. When it seems like the police aren’t taking her eyewitness account seriously, Murphy takes it upon herself to solve her friend’s murder. Ahead of its premiere this week, we spoke with various members of the show’s cast and crew. Today, star Calle Walton and consultant Lorri Bernson, who are both visually impaired, explain the steps they took to help the show portray blindness accurately.
