Callie heads to court in summer finale of The Fosters

Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, August 17. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

The Fosters (ABC Family 8 p.m.): In the summer finale of ABC Family’s The Fosters, Stef and Lena throw an anniversary party for Lena’s parents. Meanwhile, Callie’s headed to court, and Mariana is trying to fix her relationship with Mat. Someone will probably cry. Callie and Brandon also have to grapple with their increasingly complicated foster-sibling relationship, especially after having slept together in last week’s episode. Will she have to choose between a family and her love of Brandon? Wait—hasn’t she had to make this choice before? Ah well, we’ll see if things turn out differently for the ill-fated love birds in tonight’s finale.

Regular coverage

WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8 p.m.)

Elsewhere in TV Club

The A.V. Club’s Erik Adams, Marah Eakin, Alex McCown, and Josh Modell teach you how to make a good mockumentary. And Fred Armisen drops by for a new installment of Random Roles to talk about Smurfs, Easy A, and an unforgettable appearance on Broad City.

What else is on?

Bachelor In Paradise (ABC, 8 p.m.): J.J. and Megan go on a date on a yacht, which got us thinking: What’s your idea of the perfect date? We think it’s watching all of the movies in the Fast And Furious franchise on a yacht. Sadly, that’s not what J.J. and Megan will be doing.

Bachelor In Paradise: After Paradise (ABC, 9 p.m.): James Gunn drops by to offer his commentary, and hopefully he raises the important questions like why didn’t J.J. and Megan watch all of the F&F movies on a yacht?

So You Think You Can Dance (Fox, 8 p.m.): Top 10 dancers perform; two get cut. You know the drill.

American Ninja Warrior (NBC, 8 p.m.): It’s the Military Final! Military folk try to tackle the Salmon Ladder, Arm Rings, Doorknob Arch, and Spider Climb.

Significant Mother (The CW, 9:30 p.m.): For those of you not attuned to the wordplay going on with this CW series, Significant Mother is about Nate (Josh Zuckerman), a man whose best friend Jimmy (Nathaniel Buzolic) is dating his mother Lydia (Krista Allen)—not Jimmy’s mother, Nate’s mother. So no, it’s not incestuous, just an affront on society’s rules against older women dating younger men. Tonight’s installment is called “Who’s Your Daddy?,” in which Lydia thinks she might be pregnant. She tells her son, but not her boyfriend. Nate’s still busy trying to Parent Trap his separated parents. Meanwhile, Nate’s life gets turned into a country song, which sounds accurate.

Doom (Syfy, 6:30 p.m.): Film adaptations of video games always go well, right? Right guys? Right?

Airplane! (Starz, 7:25 p.m.): Surely you have time for Airplane! tonight!

MLB Baseball: Giants at Cardinals (ESPN, 8 p.m.): Baseball, baseball, everywhere.
