Camelot producers will also make horny history with Vikings

Michael Hirst and Morgan O’Sullivan have previously made history come alive with boobs by creating The Tudors and Camelot, and besides earning the gratitude of every teenaged boy whose parents have pay cable, they’ve also just earned a deal with MGM to do something similar for the tentatively titled Vikings. The epic drama is expected to center on Norse hero Ragnar Lodbrok, famed pirate and conqueror who claimed to be a descendant of the god Odin, plundered Paris many times over, and [1200-YEAR-OLD SPOILER ALERT] famously died in a pit of venomous snakes. Through Ragnar's point of view, Vikings will spin a story of “the Vikings' exploits as warriors, explorers, builders, merchants, pirates, and mercenaries” as they rape and murder their way across the land. Although the 10-episode first season is due to begin production sometime next year, no network has been set yet, but it seems pretty likely that it will end up on cable. You know, because of all the raping and murdering.
