Displaying her typically blunt yet thoughtful sense of humor, Cameron Esposito has just released a new special titled Rape Jokes, the proceeds of which will be donated to the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline (RAINN). The hour-long special is already streaming on Esposito’s website, but you can buy it for a minimum donation of $10.
“Is it possible to use standup to educate, unify and redirect our focus toward survivors?,” Esposito wonders, in a press release. “WHO KNOWS. But I’m giving it a shot.” Given that the conversation around #MeToo and Time’s Up has already taken a couple of detours into “Redemption For The Abusers” territory, the special sounds pertinent and necessary.
