Last year, people on the internet went to war over something that historians will simply call “The Dress.” Some saw it as blue and black, others saw it as white and gold, but both sides were so deeply entrenched in their beliefs that they were (literally) unable to see things any other way. Thankfully, people got sick of hearing about the stupid dress before any particularly bad fights broke out, but a new viral internet photo that you can see below is now threatening to reopen all of those old wounds. Fortunately for us, this time there’s a right answer.
The photo (which seems to have originated from a woman named Jeya May Cruz) is presented as a simple challenge: Can you find the dropped iPhone? We look at phones all day, so finding one shouldn’t be too hard, but this one happens to be in a case that almost perfectly matches the rug it was dropped on, so the task is slightly more difficult than it would’ve been otherwise. Have you found it yet? If not, don’t worry, the photo isn’t some kind of secret test to determine how intelligent you are. Still don’t see it? We don’t want to make you anxious, but the longer it takes, the more of a dummy you are and the more people will laugh at you when you finally do find it. We were lying when we said it’s not a test.
