Deadline reports that German actor Daniel Bruhl, who has appeared in several high-profile American films over the past couple of years but The A.V. Club readers will probably remember as Nazi war hero Fredrick Zoller from Inglourious Basterds, has signed on to play the villain in the third Captain America movie. Called Captain America: Civil War, the film will hit theaters on May 6, 2016 and not only feature Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther in supporting roles, but also introduce the Civil War event to the Marvel movie universe. Bruhl’s character in the film has not yet been announced, but we must say it’s nice to see the Cap’n getting back to his roots by kicking the crap out of a German.
