Carrie remake delayed, is gonna miss the prom
Though it had already begun to build buzz with its teaser trailer and encouraging New York Comic-Con reports of it probably not being the worst thing ever, Kimberly Peirce's new, Chloe Moretz-starring adaptation of Carrie has been delayed from March to October. Shock Till You Drop broke the news, speculating that the move could have something to do with the needs for extra post-production work, in addition to wanting to time the release for Halloween—as opposed to the arguably even more appropriate months leading up to prom, when it could serve as a cautionary reminder. Anyway, this means that we won't get our period horror movie for another seven months, and now everyone else in gym class will be like, "What, you didn't get your period horror movie yet?" And then they're all gonna laugh at us.
