Casey Affleck admits fake documentary about Joaquin Phoenix's fake rap career is a fake
Director Casey Affleck has admitted to the New York Times that I’m Still Here—his film about Joaquin Phoenix’s self-destructive abandonment of his movie career in order to be a fat, bearded, coked-out rapper who tries to make an album with Puff Daddy and allows a guy take a dump on his chest—is not, in fact, a real documentary, but rather a massive piece of performance art that extended even to Phoenix’s infamously disastrous David Letterman interview. “I never intended to trick anybody,” Affleck says. Don’t worry, dude.
