Casey Wilson to star in Tina Fey’s new comedy
Tina Fey’s new NBC comedy has just found its star, as Deadline reports that Happy Endings alum and all-around ”amahzing” person Casey Wilson has been cast as one of the leads in The Sackett Sisters. The single-cam comedy comes from Fey and Robert Carlock, and will see Wilson and Busy Philipps play sisters (has someone been reading your Happy Endings/Cougar Town fanfic, you wonder?). They’re far from besties at first, but after they perform an act of Captain Sully-levels of heroism, they’ll have to band together to “navigate their new found notoriety together.” Bradley Whitford will play their dad.
The Sackett Sisters is being written by Brooklyn Nine-Nine executive producer Del Tredici, who will executive produce along with Fey and Carlock. NBC ordered a pilot back in January, so it won’t be long before Wilson’s back on our screens.
