Cass McCombs to release second album of 2011, shares new song

Cass McCombs has already put out a good record called Wit's End this year, but the reclusive singer-songwriter isn't quitting while he's ahead. In October McCombs will release his second album of 2011, Humor Risk, which promises to present the flipside to the aching melancholy of Wit's End. A new song called "The Same Thing" is certainly more rocking than anything on McComb's last album, though "rocking" in this sense means "bigger drums and not totally depressing." You can download the song here; the track list for Humor Risk is below.

1. Love Thine Enemy
2. The Living Word
3. The Same Thing
4. To Every Man His Chimera
5. Robin Egg Blue
6. Mystery Mail
7. Meet Me At the Mannequin Gallery
8. Mariah (sketch)
