CBS CEO "not optimistic" about writers' strike, may poach shows from Showtime
Sorry TV fans, but it looks like the TV writers strike might be fucking up your shit indefinitely. CBS CEO Leslie Moonves, for one, isn't "terribly optimistic" about a resolution being reached anytime soon. While the networks stand to lose millions in revenue from lost shows, the shortfalls are being covered by the lower production expenses, so in the short-term at least it's even Steven. If the strike lingers into spring, CBS might show edited re-runs of shows from Showtime, which it owns, including Weeds,Californication, and Dexter.
