CBS orders another round of The Good Fight
Though The Good Fight has only just begun—we’re halfway into the first season—CBS has already green-lit a second season, Variety reports. The Good Wife spin-off drew more than 7 million viewers in its broadcast premiere, but it’s also acquitting itself nicely on All Access, CBS’ streaming arm. CBS Interactive president and chief operating officer said that while only half of the season has aired, “the reaction from CBS All Access subscribers and critics alike has been phenomenal.” The network is looking forward to ”where Robert and Michelle King, their creative team and the amazing cast take The Good Fight next.”
The Good Fight stars Christine Baranski, who reprises her role as Diane Lockhart. A reversal of fortune put the brakes on Diane’s retirement plans, which only heightened her lawyerly zeal. Baranski’s joined in the cast by Cush Jumbo and Rose Leslie, who play formidable litigators as well. The Good Fight has been a knockout so far, so we’re heartened by the news as well.
