CBS picks up William Shatner’s Bleep My Dad Says
Coming in over the Twitter transom from Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello is confirmation that CBS has picked up the William Shatner-starring series Shit My Dad Says—or Bleep My Dad Says, or whatever the hell the FCC is letting CBS call it. Deadline hinted at this announcement a few days ago, reporting that Justin Halpern, whose Twitter account @shitmydadsays was deemed adaptable for network TV last year, co-wrote the pilot with Patrick Schumacker. Deadline also reported that CBS will replace actor Ryan Devlin, who was set to star in the Justin Halpern role as a son who moves back in with his mother and Shatner's profane spitfire of a father. Nicole Sullivan also co-stars in the series. The network is still in the process of securing writers for the show.
