It’s hard to believe, but it’s been 20 years since Toadies’ Rubberneck brought murderous, lakeside creeps to the masses. Fan favorites like “Possum Kingdom,” “Backslider,” and “I Come From The Water” still get regular radio play, and seem almost as fresh as they did back in the Clinton era. This April Fools’ Day, the seminal Texas record will get a fancy deluxe reissue as both a CD and an LP, but A.V. Club fans can get an exclusive first listen to one of the album’s exclusive tracks, “Run In With Dad.” For those who feel especially nostalgic and/or incredibly stoked, the Toadies are also touring Rubberneck this spring, and dates for that run are below.
