Because the circle of life will not be complete until every beloved pop culture property has been recreated using Lego bricks—even the ones that precede the birth of Christ— Lego artist Warren Elsmore has a Brick Flicks project that creates iconic scenes and images from 60 classic movies. And perhaps the most impressive entry is one from 15-year-old aspiring filmmaker Morgan Spence. Not only has Spence masterfully edited together famous scenes from more than a dozen movies using stop-motion animation and the films’ original audio; he’s also filmed an Oscar-ceremony framing device for the whole endeavor. Spence has included Lego versions of the Dirty Dancing lift, the Wayne’s World head-banging, the Pulp Fiction dance-off, just to name a few. So take the next two minutes to appreciate all the meticulous work involved in making the Lego version of flowing water. Then take the next two hours wondering what you’ve done with your life that’s this impressive.
