Celebrate the Fourth of July with some free Captain America gear from Hasbro
Marvel die-hards know that 2016 marks the 75th anniversary of Captain America and, though his first appearance in the comics was published on March 1, 1941, Hasbro is celebrating Steve Rogers’ “birthday” all weekend long (for obvious reasons). He’s been an AARP member for two decades now, but Cap’s been especially wild and unpredictable in his old age, inciting a Civil War in the MCU and even dabbling in Nazism in 2016 alone. Nevertheless, the Avenger is a beacon of the red-white-and-blue, forever an icon patriotism, idealism, and the American way.
In honor of Captain America’s Diamond White anniversary and Independence Day, The A.V. Club is teaming up with Hasbro Toys to give our readers an opportunity to win a special prize package of Cap-centric toys and gear. The package includes: Captain America’s Scope Vision Helmet, a Civil War 6-Inch Legends Series figure, Cap’s Magnetic Shield And Gauntlet, and a 12-Inch Titan Hero Electronic Figurine. For your chance to win, simply send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Cap Turns 75.” Be sure to include your name and mailing address in the body of the email. U.S. entrants only. On Wednesday, July 6, we’ll select one winner from our eligible entries and notify them directly via email.
