Chad Michael Murray and Dollhouse’s Enver Gjokaj join Marvel’s Agent Carter

Agent Carter, Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. prequel/Captain America sequel series, is starting to take shape. We learned back in June that Dominic Cooper would reprise his role as Howard Stark—Iron Man’s dad—in the show, and now we know that he’ll be joined by Dollhouse’s Enver Gjokaj and professional cute boy Chad Michael Murray. Along with Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter, they’ll be playing operatives for the Strategic Scientific Reserve, a secret military agency from back when not every organization in the Marvel Universe had to have a clever acronym for a name.

Murray will be Agent Jack Thompson, a character we don’t really know anything about, and Gjokaj will be Agent Daniel Sousa, a former soldier who now walks with a leg brace. This will actually be Gjokaj’s second appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as IMDB notes that he also played iconic comic book character Young Cop in The Avengers. We assume Agent Carter—which takes place just after World War II—will have a scene where he mentions that he hopes to someday have a grandson who becomes a police officer, but we’ll settle for an elaborate time travel-based storyline that involves him visiting the future and witnessing Loki’s attack on New York.
