Chance The Rapper's pizza slasher hits theaters this Monday for one night only

Our stomachs have been rumbling since we first heard tell of A24's Slice, the campy, pizza-laden slasher starring Chance the Rapper as a werewolf. Now, after the film’s previously announced 2017 premiere blew by like a bleary-eyed delivery driver, Austin Vesely’s horror comedy will debut this coming Monday, September 10. It will play for just one night only in 21 cities—after which what happens to it is anyone’s guess.

Chance’s character is named Dax Lycander, and all signs point towards him joining forces with Astrid (Atlanta’s Zazie Beetz) in a battle against the demonic forces oozing from beneath a “shitty pizza place” owned by Paul Scheer’s Jack. Stranger Things’ Joe Keery lends his impeccable mane to the horror, while comedian Hannibal Burress and Insecure’s Y’lan Noel round out the cast.

Vesely and Chance will be on hand at Chicago’s ArcLight theater for a Q&A, which will be simulcast to all the participating theaters. Joining the pair will be Beetz, Scheer, and Rae Gray. Tickets are currently available via the film’s website.
