Based on co-writer and lead actress Charlene deGuzman’s life, the new film Unlovable follows Joy, a sex- and love-addicted woman who learns true intimacy after forming a garage band with her sponsor’s reclusive brother (John Hawkes). At the premiere of the film, we sat down with deGuzman, Hawkes, and director Suzi Yoonessi to talk about the film and the realities of sex addiction.
