Because after making four movies with Lars von Trier, an alien invasion should be positively relaxing, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Charlotte Gainsbourg is in talks for a role in Roland Emmerich’s blockbuster sequel Independence Day 2. Gainsbourg will star opposite Liam Hemsworth, Survivor’s Remorse star Jessie Usher, and Jeff Goldblum, reprising his role as the super-smart scientist guy who also wears sunglasses that Goldblum played throughout the ’90s. Details about Gainsbourg’s part in the film are still scarce, but it’s assumed that she will take over the role left vacant by a departing Will Smith. Accueillir à la terre, connard!
