Charmed to get a 10th season (in comic-book form)

For a show that should have died the same time Shannen Doherty’s character did, Charmed has had a surprisingly long life. It managed to soldier on for five more years, it was recently rumored for a reboot, and now Zenoscope Entertainment has just given the show an unofficial 10th season—albeit one in comic-book form. Presumably full of the same soap-opera fantasy as the series and the preceding comics edition, the writers will continue to work around Prue’s absence—she “appeared” in the unofficial 9th season, but in someone else’s body—all while avoiding the obvious storyline, in which Doherty herself appears as The Source, and Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), and Paige (Rose McGowan) attempt to vanquish her. But no amount of cleavage-baring magic can stop an evil capable of fucking up Aaron Spelling’s shit not once, but twice. And thanks to comics writers Paul Ruditis and Pat Shand, Charmed can’t be stopped either.
