Cheetos-flavored movie theater popcorn is a thing now. Frito-Lay handed out samples of its new corn—which is totally not just a more orange, cheese popcorn with a cheetah on it—at last week’s CinemaCon convention in Las Vegas, telling USA Today that while the product “is still in the very early development stages,” the company is “always innovating and testing new product concepts to see what resonates best” with its orange-fingered, Furious 7-watching consumer base. The snack, which appears to just be regular plain popcorn dusted with Cheetos dust, could be available both in theaters and in stores, depending on how the company plans to eventually roll out the product. Enterprising moviegoers could also just save $7 or so by just sneaking in a sad Ziploc bag of their own homemade blend of Cheetos and popcorn, or even some other sustenance that won’t send snackers to the emergency room.
