Devoted viewers of Chelsea Handler’s late-night Netflix show, Chelsea, were regularly setting aside one night a week to catch up on the three weekly episodes. In a sort of mini-binge, they watched three episodes of Chelsea on Friday nights, possibly to pretend they’re watching a Chelsea Handler movie. Those viewing habits haven’t gone unnoticed—Deadline reports the show is joining Full Frontal With Samantha Bee and Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, and switching to a weekly format. Chelsea began to spend more time outside of the studio toward the end of its first season, and focus on more “field pieces and longer, pre-taped segments.” The second season will continue in that fashion, and will also take on more in-depth interviews.
