Chelsea Handler shows her serious side in teaser for her Netflix series

Now free of the tyrannical constructs of her E! talk show (when exactly is “lately” anyway?) and its proximity to Kardashians, Chelsea Handler can finally get as topical and serious as she wants in her new Netflix series. Which, in light of the fact that she’s referring to it as a “docu-comedy,” is probably not very. Nonetheless, Handler seeks to demonstrate her gravitas in this teaser for Chelsea Does…, which is coming to Netflix in January 2016. And just what things will Handler “do” in the four-part series? According to the thumbnail, Handler’s going to tackle marriage, racism, Silicon Valley, and drugs. Here’s hoping she takes a Forrest MacNeil-like approach to dealing with these hot-button issues.
