Chicago and Indianapolis, please don't ghost our invite to see Friend Request early and for free
It’s been a few years—specifically, the two years since Unfriended made surprisingly great suspense out of Skype static and haunted Chatroulette—since we had a good “evil internet” movie. Luckily, German import Friend Request is here to fill that void, telling the story of a social young college student who attracts the spectral attention of a ghostly stalker looking to hit her where it hurts the most: right in the Facebook friend count.
If college kids getting attacked by malicious, ghost-infected malware and malevolent possessed wasps sounds like your kind of horror film (and you live in Chicago or Indianapolis), you’re in luck, because we’ve got free tickets to screenings of Friend Request on September 20. You don’t even have to follow our Insta or like our Snaps to get them: Just click here (for Chicago) or here (for Indianapolis) and hit “Get My Passes.” The Chicago screening is at the AMC River East 21 at 7:30 p.m., while the Indy showing is at 7:00 p.m. at the Glendale 12. You should be sure to get there early, though; not only are you more likely to avoid the hostile attentions of punctuality-loving computer ghosts, but you’ll also ensure you’ll get a seat, since these advanced screenings inevitably overbook.
