Chicago, cover yourself in mud and see The Predator early and for free
The Predator series seems perfectly positioned for a big reboot that brings back everything people liked about the first one, hopefully without anything crazy like insisting that Adrien Brody can be a badass action hero. Shane Black’s The Predator looks like it has a good shot at revitalizing the series, if only because its impressive cast includes Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane, and Alfie Allen. For anyone who’d like an early glimpse of just how this ragtag group of soldiers, a scientist, and the kid from Room are going to fare against the universe’s greatest hunter, The A.V. Club is giving away free passes to an early screening of The Predator in Chicago.
The screening will be held on September 10 at AMC River East, and all you have to do to get tickets is cover yourself in mud to fool the Predator’s thermal sensors and then fill out your information at this link. Just remember: Advance screenings are often intentionally overbooked, so be sure to arrive early to secure your seat.
For everyone who foolishly doesn’t want to get an advantage against the Predator, the movie will open everywhere else on September 14.
