Chicago, get in the way and see Blockers early and for free
Teen sex comedies are a fixture of the movie world—or at least they were in the ‘80s. But the upcoming film Blockers takes a different approach by emphasizing the perspective of fun-yet-concerned parents who really don’t want their teenage daughters to do it with their dates on prom night, making it sort of an anti-teen sex comedy. Luckily, the parents are played by two accomplished funny people and one beloved wrestler (Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz, and John Cena), so their mission to get in between their daughters and some teenage boys should be pretty fun.
For anyone in Chicago looking to get a head-start on all of this blocking, The A.V. Club is giving away free passes to an early screening of Blockers. The screening will be held on April 3 at AMC River East, and all you have to do to get tickets is fill out your information at this link. Just remember: Advance screenings are often intentionally overbooked, so be sure to arrive early if you want to secure a seat.
If you’d rather just sit back and let your daughters do whatever they want, Blockers will be in theaters on April 6.
