Chicago, get into the zombie-killing holiday spirit with Anna And The Apocalypse early and for free

Although some of you maniacs have been celebrating for a couple of weeks already, this weekend marks the official beginning of the holiday season. And for the subset of our readers who might be interested in a film that can reasonably be compared to a feature-length, holiday-themed version of Buffy The Vampire Slayer’s musical episode—which, we imagine, is a lot of you—may we suggest Orion’s upcoming release of Anna And The Apocalypse, described thusly in its official synopsis, for a little holiday fun?:

A zombie apocalypse threatens the sleepy town of Little Haven – at Christmas – forcing Anna and her friends to fight, slash and sing their way to survival, facing the undead in a desperate race to reach their loved ones. But they soon discover that no one is safe in this new world, and with civilization falling apart around them, the only people they can truly rely on are each other.

And if you happen to live in Chicago, we’re giving away 100 passes to see Anna And The Apocalypse at the AMC River East at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, one week from today. To enter to win yours, simply follow this link and enter some basic information. But remember to show up early: Advance screenings are always overbooked, and being left out in the cold isn’t very cheerful at all.

Anna And The Apocalypse’s American theatrical rollout begins on November 30, with expansions planned through December 14. The film opens in Chicago on December 7.
