Chicago, ignore the ominous rocks and see Kong: Skull Island early and for free
Though it seems like there have been a lot of movies about a giant ape who lives on an island and is named Kong, it turns out that most of those movies are either really old or feature excruciatingly long ice-skating sequences. That’s where director Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ Kong: Skull Island comes in. Not only is it brand new, but it probably doesn’t have any ice-skating sequences at all. The film stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goddman, and John C. Reilly, and if that’s not exciting enough, the whole movie basically exists to set up an eventual fight between the eponymous ape and Godzilla.
To prepare some of you for that eventual slugfest, The A.V. Club is giving a few lucky readers a chance to attend an early screening of Kong: Skull Island at Chicago’s AMC River East theater on March 6, and all you need to do to get free passes is enter your information at this link.
