Chicago, let Yesterday make all your troubles seem so far away early and for free
It sounds like the premise of a Black Mirror episode: A guy named Jack (Himesh Patel) wakes up one morning and realizes that, somehow, he’s the only person on Earth who can remember who the Beatles were, or any of their hit songs. He then does what a lot of us would do in that situation, namely tell people he wrote such immortal classics of the pop canon as “Yesterday” and “Hey Jude,” and bask in the ensuing glory and fame. (Whether he also takes credit for “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” remains unknown at this time.) However, Yesterday is not a Black Mirror episode. It is a major motion picture directed by Danny Boyle, and we’re not really sure what to expect from it, either.
We’re giving away 40 pairs of passes to see Yesterday this coming Tuesday, June 25 at 7:00 PM at the AMC River East (that’s 322 E.
