Chicago, see Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice in Imax early and for free

The trailers for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice want you to know just how high the stakes are: City buildings tumble, Batman scowls, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor makes bombastic statements. It’s all pretty epic (for lack of a better term), as it should be; as its title portends, this month’s superhero face-off is but a precursor to an eventual Justice League movie, as well multiple standalone films for each of the costumed crimefighters in the DC “Universe.” So there’s a lot riding on this one, but with Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, Diana Prince, and likely even more DC heroes in the mix, it’s just got to be huge, right?

After months of waiting, Batman and Superman will finally brawl on March 25, but The A.V. Club and Warner Bros. Pictures have an opportunity for you to see it for free on March 22 on a massive Imax screen. Remember: Advance screenings are often intentionally overbooked, so be sure to arrive early if you want to guarantee yourself a seat. An official plot synopsis and trailer for the film can be found below.

From director Zack Snyder comes Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, starring Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters’ first big-screen pairing. Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
