When he’s not distancing himself from the idea of a new Ghostbusters film, Bill Murray is distancing himself from the rest of the world in the new film, St. Vincent. Murray plays Vincent, a drunken retiree with a penchant for gambling and pregnant strippers. When Maggie (Melissa McCarthy) and her son Oliver (Jaeden Lieberher) move into the house next door, Vincent reluctantly takes on the role as babysitter for Oliver, and soon the two form a friendship, leaving both of them with a new found view of the world. The film hits theaters October 24, but The A.V. Club has a chance for you to attend an advance screening October 16, here in Chicago. An odd friendship soon blossoms between the improbable pair.
