Chicago, see Brick Mansions early and for free

Months after the tragic death of Paul Walker, one of his final films, Brick Mansions, is coming to theaters. A remake of the French action movie District B13, the film features Walker as Damien Collier, an undercover cop who must infiltrate a crime-infested, walled-off section of Detroit in order to stop a plot to destroy the city. Collier hesitantly joins forces with an ex-con played by Parkour co-founder David Belle, and the two set out to get from point A to point B in the most efficient way possible. The film opens nationwide April 25, but The A.V. Club has a chance for you to attend an early screening April 23, at 7:00 p.m. here in Chicago. A full synopsis and trailer for the film can be found below.

“In a dystopian Detroit, abandoned brick mansions left from better times now house only the most dangerous criminals. Unable to control the crime, the police constructed a colossal containment wall around this area to protect the rest of the city. For undercover cop Damien Collier (Paul Walker) every day is a battle against corruption. For Lino (David Belle), every day is a fight to live an honest life. Their paths never should have crossed, but when drug kingpin, Tremaine (RZA) kidnaps Lino’s girlfriend, Damien reluctantly accepts the help of the fearless ex-convict, and together they must stop a sinister plot to devastate the entire city. With stylized action featuring thrilling Parkour stunts (David Belle is the co-founder of the physical training discipline), Brick Mansions puts an entertaining twist on the action genre.”
