Chicago, see Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For early and for free

Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are back with more booze, broads, and bullets in the second installment of the Sin City franchise, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Set in the neo-noir streets of Sin City, A Dame To Kill For combines two of Miller’s original stories with two new tales written exclusively for the big screen by Miller himself. Stars Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, and Bruce Willis will return accompanied by newcomers to the series Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, and Eva Green. Also, Lady Gaga is to make an appearance in what could finally be her breakout performance, but probably not. The film opens in theaters August 22, but The A.V. Club has an opportunity for you to attend an early screening August 19, here in Chicago. For a chance to receive event passes simply follow the link here and enter the RSVP code AVCLUBBMMD when prompted. Remember, seating is first, come first serve, so arrive early! A synopsis and trailer for the film can be found below.

“Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reunite to bring Miller’s visually stunning “Sin City” graphic novels back to the screen in SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales, the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is the follow up to Rodriguez and Miller’s 2005 groundbreaking film, FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY.”
