Chicago, see Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit early and for free
Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and now Chris Pine have portrayed Tom Clancy’s CIA operative Jack Ryan. It’s been over a decade since the last Jack Ryan film The Sum Of All Fears in 2002, but now Kenneth Branagh has taken on the dual role of director and villain in a reboot looking to capitalize on the success of new installments in dormant action franchises like Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol (even if it does continue a bit of the “Dark” title trend going around lately). Taking place during Ryan’s days as a junior CIA analyst before his promotion to field agent, Keira Knightley co-stars as his wife, with Kevin Costner as Ryan’s handler in the field.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit opens on January 17, but we’ve got passes to a special early screening on Wednesday, January 15 in Chicago. Just follow this link to Gofobo and enter the code AVCLUBQUDU to be entered to win tickets. Obtaining a pass doesn’t guarantee a seat, so make sure to show up early in order to get in.
