Chicago, see Michael Keaton in Birdman early and for free

Fans of comic book films looking for less action but more Broadway dance numbers are in luck, as the new Michael Keaton film Birdman hits theaters this month. The film follows the story of former Hollywood action star turned washed-up D-lister Riggan Thomson (Keaton), as he struggles to mount a Broadway play while battling his inner demons and the dissenting voices of his family and friends. Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, and Edward Norton round out the cast of the eccentric film from director Alejandro González Iñárritu. Birdman opens in Chicago on October 24, but The A.V. Club has an opportunity for you to attend an early screening on October 20. For a chance to receive event passes simply follow the link here and enter the code AVCB953. A lucky 50 participants will win passes. Remember, seating is first come, first serve, so arrive early! A synopsis and trailer for the film can be found below.
