Chicago, see Ride Along 2 early and for free
Is Kevin Hart addicted to buddy comedies? In 2015 he played the zippy yin to both Josh Gad and Will Ferrell’s socially awkward yangs in The Wedding Ringer and Get Hard. This June, he’ll be partnering up with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for Central Intelligence. Of course, summer is still months away and Hart had to get his fix somewhere, which is why he’s kicking off 2016 by returning to his “gateway buddy,” Ice Cube, for Ride Along 2. The comedy sequel revisits the rapport that made the original a sizable winter hit in 2014, but transports the action to sunny Miami. Florida will presumably present the mismatched duo with even more opportunities for hijinks, as well as a new, eclectic supporting cast to bounce off of, including Olivia Munn, Ken Jeong, and Tyrese Gibson.
Ride Along 2 opens nationwide on January 15, but The A.V. Club and Universal have an opportunity for you to see it for free on January 12.
