Chicago, see Sicario: Day Of The Soldado early and for free

The original Sicario was full of uneasy sequences where you knew something was about to go terribly wrong (or at least terribly violent), but you were never quite sure when it would all pop off. The sequel, Day Of The Soldado, looks like it will have a similarly unflinching approach to the dangers of battling drug cartels, but without Emily Blunt’s character to put some safe distance between the audience and the varyingly illegal and brutal machinations of Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro. If you’re eager to jump back into this war and/or you can’t stand the tension of not knowing when someone’s about to get shot by Benicio del Toro, you’re in luck: The A.V. Club is giving away free passes to an early screening of Sicario: Day Of The Soldado to lucky readers in Chicago.

The screening will be held at AMC River East on June 27, and all you need to do to get in is fill out your information at this link (code: nQAVw51050) and then keep your head down while everything gets really dangerous. Just remember: Advance screenings are often intentionally overbooked, so be sure to arrive early if you want to secure a seat.

If you’d rather wait and let Josh Brolin operate without any oversight, Sicario: Day Of The Soldado will open in theaters on June 29.
