Chicago, see Suicide Squad early and for free

The hype machine is currently churning away at top speed for the release of Suicide Squad, Warner Bros.’ upcoming entry into its burgeoning DC cinematic universe. The story revolves around a band of colorful antiheroes who break all the rules, both by violating regular old laws and by violating the unspoken law that Warner Bros. superhero movies don’t have jokes in them. Recruited by ruthless government fixer Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), the Squad is given a choice: Participate in top-secret, potentially lethal black-ops operations, or rot in jail forever. Oh, and Jared Leto’s got some sweet forehead tats as the Joker.

Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 5, but The A.V. Club is giving Chicagoans the opportunity to see it before all the other Harley Quinn cosplayers on Monday, August 1. For your chance to win a pair of passes to the advance screening, simply enter your information here. Remember: Advance screenings are often intentionally overbooked, so be sure to arrive early if you want to secure a seat.
