Chicago, see Ted 2 early and for free
Beyond all of the jokes about masturbation and references to Flash Gordon, Seth MacFarlane’s Ted surprised moviegoers by actually being about something: The power of friendship. Three years later, Ted 2 looks to tackle even more serious subject matter: Teddy Bear rights. MacFarlane reunites his foul-mouthed stuffed animal with Mark Wahlberg’s John Bennett on a quest to prove that Ted is a person in a court of law, so that he and his wife can have a baby. Adding some respectability to a movie about a talking toy that wants to procreate with a human being is a cast that includes Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, and Liam Neeson. Ted 2 opens nationwide on June 26, but The A.V. Club and Universal Pictures have an opportunity for you to see it on June 23 for free.
