Werner Herzog tends to make movies about the heartless cruelty of nature, but for his next project, the documentary Lo And Behold, he’s diving deep into the equally heartless cruelty of the internet to show how everyone being virtually connected has changed the world. It probably won’t touch on Pokémon Go—a phenomenon that Herzog apparently couldn’t care less about—but it will touch on the existence of soccer-playing robots that will someday usurp the love mankind feels for human athletes.
Lo And Behold will premiere on August 26, but The A.V. Club is giving people in Chicago an opportunity to see the documentary a little bit early on August 24.
