Chicago, take the leap and see Skyscraper early and for free
Skyscraper looks like it’ll be a throwback to the action movies of our childhood, when all you needed was a charismatic star, some terrorists, and a single, dangerous location. This time, the charismatic star is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and the location is an absurdly tall skyscraper (hence the name) that is both on fire and under siege from ne’er-do-wells. The twist? Johnson has a prosthetic leg and a loving family. For everyone who is especially eager to see Johnson heroically leap from a giant crane and smash some terrorists, The A.V. Club is giving away free passes to an early screening of Skyscraper to lucky readers in Chicago.
The screening will be held at the AMC River East on July 10, and you don’t even have to climb up an absurdly tall building in order to get in. You just have to fill out your information at this link and then hold on for dear life as the skyscraper collapses around you. Just remember: Advance screenings are often intentionally overbooked, so be sure to arrive early if you want to secure a seat.
Skyscraper will open in theaters on July 13.
