Chicago, we just will not stop giving you free comedy shows

Hey, Chicago. We’ve reached out to you several times now about our live monthly comedy show, Bell Hop, the brainchild of 7 Minutes in Purgatory creators Ian Abramson and Matt Byrne. (You may remember Ian Abramson as the host of the delightful 7 Minutes In Purgatory, or perhaps opening for Kyle Kinane at this year’s 26th Annual Comedy Festival.) Since its debut back in August, Bell hop has brought you sets from funny people like Late Show With Stephen Colbert writer Daniel Kibblesmith, The Puterbaugh Sisters, Adam Burke, Mike Lebovitz, and Natalie Jose, who recently opened for John Oliver here in Chicago!

This newest edition of the show—coming tomorrow night, Saturday, January 23—also features a promising lineup, including Kristen Toomey, ShowYouSuck, David Drake, Joey Villagomez, The A.V. Club’s own Fran Hoepfner, Michael Timlin, and Tim Barnes. The show is free (although it’s 21+ only, sorry), but space is limited: Get to the Virgin early-ish, and tell them you’re looking for the 25th floor. You can RSVP on Facebook, too, if that’s your thing. It will be fun.
