Chicago, we want pika-you to see Detective Pikachu early and for free
As you may have already guessed from our extensive coverage, we’re more than a little curious to find out what the deal is with Pokémon Detective Pikachu, Warner Bros.’ upcoming live-action reboot of the Pokémon franchise starring Ryan Reynolds as a caffeine-addicted amnesiac detective who also happens to be, well, Pikachu. We know it’s going to be darker than previous Pokémon movies, simply by virtue of the mystery element. But how dark are we taking about, exactly? Who Framed Roger Rabbit dark? Chinatown dark!?
We have so many questions, all of which will be answered when we host an advance screening of Pokémon Detective Pikachu this coming Monday, May 6 at 7:00 PM at the AMC River East (322 E. Illinois St.). To enter to win an admit-two pass of your own, simply follow this link and enter some basic information. Just remember to arrive early, as advance screenings are intentionally overbooked to ensure capacity, and you don’t want to be the last one to see Detective Pikachu recreate the “pencil trick” scene from The Dark Knight while working over a perp. At least, we assume that’s what’s going to happen.
