Chicago, we've got tickets to see Madeline's Madeline at the Music Box for free
After its initial debut on the coasts, Sundance darling Madeline’s Madeline opens in dozens of locations across the U.S. this weekend, including at Chicago’s own historic Music Box theatre. (You can see a full list of cities, which also includes places like Austin, TX, Denver, CO, and and Atlanta, GA, here.) We’ve done quite a few giveaways with the Music Box in the past here on The A.V. Club—it’s our home turf, after all—and now we’re partnering with distributor Oscilloscope Labs for another one, allowing folks in Chicago to see Madeline’s Madeline at the theater for free.
To enter to win one of 10 pairs of tickets we’re giving away to see Madeline’s Madeline on its opening weekend at the Music Box, email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Christmas in Miranda July” by noon CST on Wednesday, August 29. We’ll randomly select 10 winners, who we’ll notify by email; a representative from Oscilloscope will then follow through with details on how to claim your tickets.
Our own A.A. Dowd was intrigued by the meta-commentary in Madeline’s Madeline, calling it “a self-devouring thing: a movie about artistic process that doubles as a document of—and even a commentary on—its own artistic process” in his review. You can see a trailer for the film below.
