Child filmmaker sues financier over short film

It's the feel-good story of the day: Dominic Scott Kay, a 10-year-old actor with 20 film credits, is suing the woman who put up the money for him to make the short film Saving Angelo, about a boy who finds a dog dying on the side of the road and helps it back to health. The L.A. Times reports his demands include creative control and a shot at the Sundance Film Festival. The defendant, Conroy Kanter, appears in the film as a vetrinarian, and seems to have much less experience than her wee adversary.
