Chipotle enlists funny people to make you forget that whole E. coli thing

Last month, we reported that Chipotle was trying to teach consumers about its new dedication to fresh, E. coli-free ingredients by introducing a rapping tortilla mascot. As effective as rapping tortillas are, though, some people are more easily swayed by recognizable funny people like John Mulaney, Jillian Bell, and Jeffrey Tambor. To that end, then, the restaurant chain has launched a new ad campaign featuring—get this—recognizable funny people like John Mulaney, Jillian Bell, and Jeffrey Tambor.

According to Fast Company, the campaign includes new TV and web spots where one of these comedians enters a giant Chipotle burrito and makes humorous confessions at the behest of Tambor’s unseen narrator. The videos end with Chipotle’s new slogan, “As Real As It Gets,” which is a nod to the fact that it no longer has artificial flavors, preservatives, or E. coli in its food. That Fast Company link has more information on this new campaign, and you can see a whole bunch of these ads at Chipotle’s YouTube page.
