Chloë Sevigny and Steven Pasquale join Netflix drama with Kyle Chandler

In its continuing quest to out-HBO HBO, Netflix is developing a new original series, this one about family secrets in the Florida Keys. The Dark Knight Rises villain Ben Mendelsohn stars as a black sheep whose return brings some long-simmering tensions to a full, swampy boil. As we previously reported, Sam Shepard has been cast as the patriarch of the family, along with Friday Night Lights’ Kyle Chandler as one of the siblings; Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz, and Sissy Spacek will complete the onscreen clan.

Now Chloë Sevigny and Do No Harm’s Steven Pasquale have been added to the cast. Sevigny has been cast as Chelsea, Mendelsohn’s former love interest who lives with her brother in what Deadline describes as “their shack of a home.” Where Pasquale’s character lives is unknown, but it is known that he will serve as a potential love interest for Cardinelli’s character. The show doesn’t have a title yet, but it is set in Florida—America’s freak show state—so the potential for bizarre backwoods intrigue is practically limitless.
