Chris Crocker may get own TV show

The lines separating "Internet fame" and actual fame have been blurring since the dawn of YouTube, but these days it's beginning to resemble something like the "Jupiter And Beyond The Infinite" sequence from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Along with the inexplicable rise of Perez Hilton and "Myspace star" Tila Tequila's own dating show, there's a new celebrity crawling out of the web: Chris Crocker, better known as the "Leave Britney Alone!" guy, has just inked a deal with reality TV producers 44 Blue to develop a "docusoap" based on his life. Founder Rasha Drachkovitch—who notes that Crocker actually "got on our radar a year ago"—says he wants to develop a show that "plays to Crocker's strengths," adding:

"It's going to pretty much be the Chris Crocker experience. We consider him a rebel character that people will find interesting. He's going to be a TV star."

God help us all.
